Vancouver English Centre has various English
language courses and programs for international students in Canada. Our
courses will help you develop English skills for real situations
Learning English at VEC
English Grammar courses are taught in a communicative manner, with an
emphasis on using the structures orally. Communicative methodology is
also used in courses for the development of English Vocabulary, Idioms
and Pronunciation. Teachers work with language functions and themes. They
use pair and group activities to improve Listening, Speaking, Reading,
and Writing skills. Our English Conversation courses use themes to practice
Listening and Speaking skills with some emphasis on Reading and Writing.
English Language Levels
A test is given on the first day of the course, to evaluate each student's
ability in English Grammar and Conversation. Students are then placed in
separate levels according to their English Grammar and Conversation skills.
Students usually progress to higher levels each month. There are 16 levels.

Sightseeing and
Learning English
The Vacation
Study Program combines morning classes with afternoon sightseeing
and leisure activities. At least one sightseeing activity is usually
offered each weekend.
English Speaking
Business Internships
The
Business Internship Program is a Super-Intensive Program for
ambitious students and professionals who want to personally experience
the Canadian business environment. Although this course emphasizes business
skills, it is beneficial to anyone who uses English in their workplace.
Scholarships to Learn English
Vancouver
English Centre encourages English language students from all over the
world to enjoy a cultural immersion experience in Canada. Although
we normally have students from up to 30 different countries, we constantly
try to improve the diversity of our student body. Thus, we frequently
offer scholarships
to students from specific countries.
